Cars.com tested 55 models' 2025 versions to arrive at letter grade scores for ease of use in five categories.

Seven models made Cars.com’s annual list of the best vehicles for child safety seats.

The auto news and reviews provider has issued the ratings since 2010, installing car seats in more than 850 vehicles during the 15 years, it said. Its testers evaluate the installation process in each vehicle for the various stages of safety seats as a child grows, including the sometimes-frustrating seat-anchoring latch system.

The 55 tested 2025 vehicles include everything from sedans and compact crossover SUVs to pickups and three-row SUVs.

Cars.com says its in-house testers are certified child passenger safety technicians and at least this year also happen to be mothers who’ve installed seats for their own children.

The testers issued their letter-grade scores by vehicle type: two-row SUVs, three-row SUVs, minivans, pickups, electrified vehicles and sedans.
